Photo Editing
I chose the image that was found on the cover of Texas Monthly Reporter to discuss image editing with. This image displays Ann Richards sitting on top of a massive motorcycle, something you wouldn't expect her to be doing at all. The image was created by splicing her head onto the body of a madel siting on a motorcycle. This was done to make Richards more appealing to the human eye. Richards was not mad about the picture and stated that it in fact made her look better by placing her head on the body of a model. So I guess you can say that not all image editing is a bad thing.

It is interesting to me that Richards wouldn't actually complain about having her body altered to be more appealing, though I suppose it does elucidate a valid point; not all image editing is necessarily bad. Good blog entry, keep up the good work.

that is true that not all photo editing is bad and in this case it might have turned out well for both sides.
I really like that Richards didn't let the splicing of head onto a different body really bother her. I agree, I don't think it was that big of a deal and I think it was better that she handled it in a light-hearted manner instead of making it a bigger deal than it waas.
Its shocking to me that Richards did not get angry, I mean she looked pretty ridiculous. On the other hand it wasn't hurting anyone so I guess both sides are in the clear. Good Job!
that was a pretty funny image and since she was not offended I guess there is no real harm.
This still is distortion, but it makes her look better.
You make a good point about the fact that the person being edited was not offended. So perhaps that is who we should ask about whether a picture is harmful or not. Make sure you spell check and elaborate a bit more with your blog entries.
